PerliChef Terms of Use

These terms apply to the PerliChef app for Android, published by Perlicom Systems Limited, a company registered in Ireland under company number 546999 ("we", "us"). By installing or using PerliChef you agree to them. How we handle data is explained in the PerliChef Privacy Policy.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use PerliChef on Android devices you own or control, for your own cooking and household use, in line with these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, rent or redistribute the app or its recipe library, or reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except to the extent the law allows this regardless of these terms. We and our licensors keep all rights in the app and the recipe library that are not expressly granted to you.
2. Your recipes
Recipes you add or edit in the app are yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for keeping copies of anything important. Do not use PerliChef for anything unlawful.
3. Free app and ads
PerliChef is free to download and use. It is supported by ads provided by Google AdMob, as described in the Privacy Policy. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
4. Recipes, nutrition and cooking safety
- Recipes, serving scaling and unit conversions are provided for general guidance. Converted and scaled quantities are rounded to practical kitchen amounts and may differ slightly from the original.
- Nutrition figures are estimates per serving, not laboratory values, and are not medical or dietary advice. If you follow a special diet, have a medical condition or need exact values, check with a qualified professional.
- Check ingredient labels for allergens. Recipes may contain, or be prepared alongside, common allergens even where not listed.
- Cooking times and oven temperatures vary with equipment. Always make sure food, especially meat, poultry, fish and eggs, is cooked through to a safe temperature, and take care with heat, knives and hot liquids.
- Timers in the app are a convenience. Do not leave cooking unattended in reliance on them.
5. Updates and availability
We may update the app and the recipe library to fix problems, add, change or remove recipes and features, or meet legal and store requirements. We do not promise that every recipe or feature will remain available forever. The shared recipe library needs an internet connection to refresh; recipes already downloaded stay usable offline.
6. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PerliChef is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. We are not liable for loss of data, for the outcome of any dish, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or opportunity arising from use of the app. Our total liability to you in connection with the app is limited to €10.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including your rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law.
7. Ending these terms
You can stop using PerliChef at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you break these terms. Sections 4, 6 and 8 continue to apply after the licence ends.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU or in the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may bring proceedings there.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the app changes. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on the Google Play listing.
