Delete your PerliChef account

Signing in to PerliChef is optional. If you never signed in, there is no account to delete: everything the app keeps is on your phone, and uninstalling the app (or Android Settings > Apps > PerliChef > Storage > Clear storage) removes it.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open PerliChef and go to Settings.
  2. Under Account & sync, tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm, type DELETE, and sign in with Google once more so we know it is you.

Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. The recipes and settings on your phone are kept; you can keep using the app signed out.

Already uninstalled the app?

E-mail support@perlicom.com from the e-mail address your account uses, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm it is you, delete everything listed below, and reply to confirm — within 30 days, and normally within a few days. We do not ask for any further personal information in order to do it.

What is deleted

  • Your account record: e-mail address, name, Google profile picture link and Google account ID.
  • Everything synced to the account: favourites, cooked marks, the recipes you added or edited, and your cooking settings (all stored end-to-end encrypted).
  • Your encryption key material, so nothing synced could ever be decrypted again.
  • Every signed-in device and sign-in session, so you are signed out everywhere.
  • The record of which Perlicom apps you used the account with, and the account's security log.

Please note: your PerliChef account is your Perlicom account. If you signed in to other Perlicom apps with the same Google account, deleting it also deletes what those apps synced to it.

What is kept, and for how long

  • Our routine system backups hold a copy for at most 14 days, after which the deleted account is gone from those too.
  • The copy on your phone: recipes and settings stay on each phone until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. They were never ours to delete.

Nothing else is retained. Data collected by Google's advertising services is not held by us: reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings to remove it (see the privacy policy, section 4).
